Course 3, Lesson 18
________________
Starting Over an Existing Group or Team the Right Way
Note: Whenever "group" or "team" is used, it can mean "group", "team", or "family".
________________________________________________
Up to now, especially for teaching purposes, we have talked about how to start a group off from scratch. However, many readers will have groups and teams already ongoing. It is relatively simple to "reboot" them up in this new empowerment model.
Probably the best way is to let everyone in the group or on the team know that you would like to implement some more empowering ways for the group or team to operate. Mention that this new model gives more power and responsibility to the group and sets yourself free to focus on helping the group or team become more powerful, productive and less dependent upon yourself for many things.
Then, tell them that you would like to restart the group or team with a set of new agreements. After this, just start with the contracting process you now know by studying different applications of the Empowerment Model of Group and Team Leadership.
